Le Masse di Greve is a specific vineyard that belongs to the town of Greve in the heart (Classico) of Chianti.  It is owned by the Guarnieri family who adapted to the new Chianti Classico 2000 standards 10 years before the rules changed giving Chianti Classico it's own DOCG.  These new rules allow Chianti Classico to be made from 75-100% Sangiovese and up to 15% non-traditional grapes such as Cabernet and Merlot.

78% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon.  The blending of varietals deepens the rich fruit and adds elements of spice to the smooth character of the Merlot grape.  Minimum crushing of the fruit and a cold soak is used to bring out maximum flavor and help reduce the astringent tannin.  It is aged in French and American Oak for 14 months in a combination of new and used.

The Kunde Family has been grape growers since 1904 and is the largest landowners in Sonoma Valley with 2000 acres of vines planted.  The majority of their grapes are sold to many prestigious Sonoma wineries, less than 20% are used for their estate wines.  This Chardonnay comes from Sonoma Valley just north of Carneros.  40% of the wine is fermented in stainless steel and receives no Malolactic Fermentation while the other 60% is barrel fermented in 25% new French and American Oak and goes through full Malolactic Fermentation.  The result is a well-balanced fruit forward Chardonnay that is more food friendly.

The 95 acre Byington Estate was established in 1987.  The rugged Santa Cruz Mountains have less than 1000 planted vineyard acres, making grapes from this region a rare commodity.  Steep terrain, diverse microclimates, marine influences and sandy soil produce small crops of intensely flavored grapes, yielding complex wines with a great ability to age.

The Iron Horse winery was established in 1971 at an old railroad stop, hence the name.  It is in a very unique microclimate known as Green Valley, which is actually a sub appellation of the Russian River Valley.  It is only 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean and offers one of the coolest growing regions in California.  80% of this wine is barrel fermented in both new and used barrels from France and America.  50% undergoes Malolactic Fermentation to round the naturally high acid found in Green Valley wines.

Roberto Guldener, a Swiss designer, purchased this 334-acre estate in 1987.  No expense was spared in renovating the estate, which was renamed after the "white soils" that make up most of the terrain.  The vineyards were modified to accommodate high-density plantings of superior clones of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon to intensify flavors.  Campaccio is the most undervalued "Super Tuscan" in Italy!  It's produced from vine yielding less then 2.5 tons of fruit per acre and is a blend of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon that is aged in French barrique for 12 months.

Treana is owned by Hope Family Farms, one of Paso Robles most prestigious growers of premium vinifera grapes as well as vineyard managers for many other properties.  Treana white is made from grapes grown in the Mer Soleil vineyard owned by Chuck Wagner of Caymus.  It is a blend of 66% Viognier and 34% Marsanne, two grapes found in the Rhone Valley of France.
