January 28 Our first wine tasting for 2003 is titled “World Cabernet Tasting”. We will taste Cabernet Sauvignon from several areas around the world including Chili, California and France. Cabernet Sauvignon grapes have long been known to produce some of the best-structured long-lived wines in the world. However, this grape exhibits different characteristics, depending on the climate, soil and the region of the world where it is planted. Delicious appetizers will be served. $30
February 11 Join us as we compare the Zinfandel and Primitivo grapes. These two varietals have something in common. Zinfandel is a black grape of European origin, but cultivated mostly in California. Primitivo is grown extensively in southern Italy. So what’s the connection? Come find out! Delicious appetizers will be served. $30
February 19 Our first dinner tasting of the year will feature Italian wine and Italian food. Always a favorite, we will taste wines from all over Italy. Italy, one of the mammoth wine producers of the world, produces some of the greatest tasting wines you can buy. Join us for a wonderful evening. A full course dinner will be served…you will not leave hungry or thirsty! $60
March 4 Try some wines from down under…yes Australia! The landmass of Australia closely resembles that of the United States. Particular grape varietals to be tasted include: Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and Mouvedre. Delicious appetizers will be served. $30
March 18 What will turn out to be one of the premier wine tastings of 2003, join us at Jean Roberts @Pigalls. We will taste some superb French wine, and of course this wine will be paired with some of the best French food in Cincinnati. Seating capacity is limited to just 25 people. Join us for what will surly be an exquisite evening. $125
March 25 Always a favorite, we will be featuring North American Merlot from California and Washington. Merlot, a constant companion with Cabernet Sauvignon, produces some terrific well-balanced wines by itself; though in this tasting will be the dominant grape in a blend. Come and enjoy some great Merlots. Delicious appetizers will be served. $30
April 1 Wine Festival – Dinner Tasting – To be announced.
April 8 Join us for our Sparkling Wine tasting. We will taste sparkling wines from around the world. Sparkling wines pair well with food, but are perfect for Passover, Easter, tax day, Birthday, Anniversary’s or just to celebrate another day. Delicious appetizers will be served. $35
April 22 Join us for an elaborate Dinner Tasting at China Gourmet. – To be announced.
